W 2023 roku odbyła się kolejna edycja projektu „Dzień dziecka” Tym razem został on przeprowadzony w okresie zimowym. W ramach projektu zaplanowane zostały dwie wycieczki autokarowe, w których wzięły udział dzieci z czterech polskich przedszkoli/żłobków prowadzonych na Litwie.
Blisko 60 dzieci miało okazję odwiedzić Fabrykę Czekolady w Trokach „AJ šokoladas“ (AJ czekolada), gdzie samodzielnie próbowały ręcznego przygotowania wyrobów czekoladowych według najlepszej belgijskiej tradycji.
Wychowankowie polonijnych przedszkoli odwiedzili też okolice jeziora i zamku w Trokach, gdzie wzięli udzial w ciekawych zabawach organizowanych podczas spaceru. W przygotowanie takich aktywności włączyli się wolontariusze ze szczepu harcerskiego. Po odwiedzeniu zamku, spacerze i zabawach wszyscy uczestnicy mieli zapewniony też wspólny posiłek. Nad całością przebiegu wycieczek czuwali również wolontariusze. Tutaj szczególne podziękowania dla Doroty Geben oraz Natalii Stankiewicz. Za aktywny udział w pomocy nad całością kwestii organizacyjnych dziękujemy też nauczycielom wspomnianych placówek, szczególne zaś Pani Agacie Mulerovaite.
Inicjatywa Fundacji dała dzieciom szansę wzięcia udziału w wycieczce i dostarczyła wielu pozytywnych przeżyć.
Rezultaty takich działań mają znaczenie dla ogółu mniejszości polskiej na Litwie. Przyczyniają się do wzmocnienia poczucia tożsamości kulturowej wśród najmłodszych.
